We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Michael William Ralph on May 23, 2022, at the age of 74.  Mike died peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side. He was grateful for the good years that he lived and faced his brief struggle with cancer with courage and dignity.  Mike will be fondly remembered and forever missed by his wife Marian, his son Bryan of British Columbia, and his daughter Tricia of Nova Scotia. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers David, Donald (Julie), and Kevin (Alan), his sisters Margaret and Christine, his sister-in-law Debbie and brothers-in-law Dermot Keogan and Randy Short. He is predeceased by his parents Don and Claire Ralph and his sisters Maureen Keogan and Mary-Lou Short. He will be sadly missed by his in-laws Bill and Pat Green, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and by his many nieces and nephews. Mike will also be affectionately remembered by his many friends, former colleagues, and his Diamond Lake neighbours. Mike was born and raised in Peterborough. He worked for many years in the X-Ray Departments at St. Joseph’s and PRHC. He enjoyed his work and developed life-long friendships with many of his co-workers. Mike loved sports and was an avid athlete. He played City League Baseball and Old Timers Hockey. He loved fishing and often recalled happy times spent fishing with his father in-law and with friends in Algonquin Park. In keeping with Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kawartha Food Share in Peterborough. Mike’s family is grateful for the care and support of Dr. Dayna Noltie and all the healthcare professionals at KGH and Hotel Dieu hospital in Kingston, as well as for the compassionate support of the Daly Funeral Home. They also wish to thank the many family, friends and neighbours who prayed for Mike, phoned, texted, visited, and helped them through this difficult journey.   Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
