LAST POST FUND

OUR MISSION

The Last Post Fund’s mission is to ensure that no Veteran is denied a dignified funeral and burial, as well as a military gravestone, due to insufficient funds at the time of death.

Its primary mandate is to deliver the Veterans Affairs Canada Funeral and Burial Program which provides funeral, burial and grave marking benefits for eligible Canadian and Allied Veterans.

After a 2-years hiatus, the annual Remembrance Day ceremony of the Last Post Fund was held in-person. A group from the Royal Military College Saint-Jean was present as Honor Guard, as well as Mr. Bayliss, and the deputies MP Scarpallegia and MP Kelley.

We Will Remember Them. See more pictures of the ceremony by clicking here.

Montréal July 13, 2021

The Last Post Fund is profoundly saddened by the ongoing discoveries of unmarked graves at multiple sites of former Indian Residential Schools across Canada. At this difficult time, we wish to extend our solidarity and our deepest sympathies to grieving family and community members and to all survivors of residential schools.
