Suddenly, at his home in Peterborough, on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Arlie Iola Martin. Loved father of Lionel Jr. (Lorraine) of Mississauga and Brenda Martin-Glover (Roger) of Lakefield. Grandfather of Rebecca, Joshua, Trever and Rachael. Brother of Linda Brant (Al), Brother-in-law of Lorna, Hilda, and Ishmeal. Lionel will be truly missed by nieces and nephews and all the Campground crew and coffee shop friends. He will be missed by his much loved cat Tinker. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Lynn Watson officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Peterborough Humane Society or Highland Animal Relief Team (H.A.R.T.) would be appreciated by the family.
