Passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Campbellford Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. Donald was the beloved husband of Doris Dawson. Loved father of Daryl and Darnell. Grandfather of Annie (James) Lawrence and Bryce Selleck. Great-Grandfather of Wyatt Lawrence, Freya Lawrence and Alayna Lawrence. Don is survived by his sisters, Elsie Shaughnessy, Evelyn Shadbolt, Edith (Russell) Hodge, Violet (Edwin) Mackey, Judy (Eric) Hinds, Linda Chute, Brothers, Ronnie (April), John, Eddie (Marilyn), Hal (Marion), Sister-in-law, Johanna Lazier and Brother-in-law, Cecil Lazier as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was pre-deceased by his father and mother Kenneth and Annie (Evans) Dawson, Brother, Bruce, Sister-in-laws, Bernie Dawson, Claudia Dawson, Virginia Lazier, Betty Lazier, Clara Lazier, Brother-in-laws, Dale Chute, Lloyd Shaughnessy, Francis Shadbolt, Frank Lazier, Allan Lazier and Walter Lazier. Donald was a truck driver and worked for Leveque Brothers for many years. Cremation has taken place.
