Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Florence Johns, age 100, was the beloved wife of the late Carson “Pete” Johns (2003). Loving mother of Lyn Johns (Valerie) of Oakville, Jennifer Thompson of Bancroft, and Robin Barker (Wilf) of Bancroft. Predeceased by her son Richard Johns (2016). Loving grandmother of Rob, Sean, Timm, Ken, Chris, Matt, Sue, Sarah, Emma, Greg and Erin. Florence “Darling” will be dearly missed by fifteen adoring great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Frank Johns and her nieces Patty and Penney. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Florence’s life will take place in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice North Hastings, 27 Bridge St E, Bancroft or Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary, 2146 Duck Lake Rd, Minden Hills would be appreciated by the family.
