Peacefully, at the Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa General Hospital, on Monday, May 05, 2008. Faye (Bierworth) Reid, in her 68th year, was the beloved wife of the late Moody Reid (1981), of Springdale, Newfoundland. Loving mother of Leona and Quentin McCormack of Peterborough, and Lee Allen Reid of St. John’s NL. Daughter of Albert and Viola (Hinze) Bierworth of Bancroft, and predeceased by her birth mother Edna (Fransky) Bierworth. Sister of Dael (Teasea) of Markdale, Carol (Peter) Woods of Ajax, and Allen Bierworth of Saskatoon. Fondly remembered by her cousins, Karl (Tracey) Bierworth of Windsor, Thea (Mitch) Desjardins of Timmins, Reuben (Beth) Bierworth of Markdale, Melissa (Ryan) Whittenberg of Niagara Falls, Bill Bierworth of Peterborough, Tiffany Woods, and Rielly Woods of Ajax, and many aunts and uncles. Faye’s family received relatives and friends at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle (311 Hastings St. N., Bancroft) on Thursday evening 7-9 p.m. Visitation also took place on Friday, May 09, 2008 from 10 – 11 a.m. A Funeral Service for Faye followed at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Stephen Heathcock officiating. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bancroft. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice North Hastings, Breast Cancer Research or Gideons would be appreciated by the family.
