Peacefully, at his home in Highland Grove, on Monday, June 25, 2018. Thomas Elliott, age 95, was the beloved husband of Julia Agnes (Hogan) Elliott. Loving father of Beverley Elliott of Toronto, Joanne Burroughs (Gary) of Highland Grove, and Brenda Bowen (Doug) of Highland Grove. Predeceased by his daughter Diane Shank (Leon). Loved grandfather of Teresa (John), Jody (Scott), Jenny, Joe (Melissa), Mary (Brad), Tom (Katie) and Sarah. Great-grandfather of Dillon, Dustin, Destiny, Mack, Julia, Morgan, Liam, Zackary, Jack, Brendan, Noah, Marshall, Will, Lyla, Wyatt, Meaghan, Megan and Sam. Brother-in-law of Flo Elliott, John Stapley, Viola Jordan, Marie (Emmerson) Lewis, Leo Hogan, Luella (Alfred) Medill and Emily Elliott. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Thomas was the Reeve and Road Superintendent for many years with the Cardiff Township. He loved farming, and gardening. Thomas’s family will receive relatives and friends at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (96 Bridge St. W., Bancroft) on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ron Meyer presiding. Interment, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Wilberforce Area Foodbank would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
