Palbiski, Gordon Earl

Peacefully, at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Ottawa, on Saturday, October 07, 2017.  Gordon Palbiski, age 94, of Whitney, was the beloved husband of Clover (Avery) Palbiski.  Loved father of Clayton Palbiski (Elaine), Peter Palbiski (Donna), Janet Lynch (Bart), and Erma Dubreuil (Andy).  Loving grandfather of Kris (Sandra), Sara (Andy), Chris (Crystal), Katie (Shane), Matthew (Sheila), Michael (Stacie), Amy, Alex (Michelle) and Jameson.  Great-grandfather of Emily, Julia, Cole, Payton, Jordan and Laci.  Survived by his brother-in-law Fred Kmith.  Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Wallace (Eva), Charmaine (Clifford), Norma, Cora (Tom) and three siblings deceased in infancy, John Joe, Edith and Theresa.   Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and many friends.  Gordon and Clover for many years were the owners and operators of the Hay Lake Lodge in Whitney, and he was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br#406 in Barry’s Bay.  Cremation has taken place.  Gordon’s family will receive relatives and friends at St. Martin of Tours Parish Hall (Post Street, Whitney), on Sunday evening October 15th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  A Memorial Service will take place at St. Anthony’s Anglican Church (Church Street, Whitney) on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev.
