March 12, 1956 – May 21, 2006 Suddenly, at the North Hastings District Hospital, on Monday, May 22, 2006. Daniel O’Neill, in his 50th year, was the beloved husband of Penny (nee Whyte) O’Neill of Bancroft. Dear brother of Colleen O’Neill and her husband Patrick (L’Amable). Son of the late William and Kathleen O’Neill. Dear brother-in-law of Irvin (Helen) of L’Amable, Marie (William) of Scarborough, Betty (Louis) of Oshawa, David (Coreen) of Bancroft, Edward (Susan) of Chelmsford, Murray (Cathy) of Bancroft, Dean of Bancroft, and Doris and Gordon both of Belleville. Dan was very involved in the Bancroft area, organizing baseball tournaments for area children, involved with the parent student council at the public school, hosting and organizing the community lunch as well as being very involved with the Anglican Parish of North Hastings, as an assistant Warden, and property management. Dan was also known as the “pancake man” when he helped organize the pancake breakfast for children. He was very outgoing, asked many questions when learning many things and will be sadly missed. A Memorial Service will take place at St. John’s Anglican Church (Flint St.) , on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. John’s Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home in Maynooth.
