Peacefully, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Thomas Gallagher, age 74, was the beloved husband of Margaret (Hickey) Gallagher. Loving father of Lisa Akey and Jamie Gallagher. Loved Grandfather of Brian and Travis. Brother and brother-in-law of Theresa Donnelly (the late Bobby), Pat Green (Bill), Carmel Shulist (Art), Noreen Gallagher, Shiela Douglas (Wayne),Beverley, Marie Maschke, Raymond Hickey (Monica), Lenore Hickey, Joan Henderson, Colleen White, Kathleen Morrison (Doug), Fran Hickey, Tom Hickey (Anne) and Bonnie Caldwell (Randy).. Predeceased by his sister Doris, and brothers Dan (the late Joan), Steven, Harold and brothers-in-law Bill (Doreen), Maurice and Patrick. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Tom’s family will receive relatives and friends at Comstock Funeral Home (356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough) on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:30 p.m. Visitation will also take place at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Thursday July 21, 2016 from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church (51 Hwy 127, Maynooth) at 2:30 p.m. with Father Moses Nwosu presiding. Interment St. Ignatius catholic Cemetery, Maynooth. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward, Maynooth Food Bank, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
