Peacefully at his home in Wilberforce, with his wife Penny and brother Wayne at his side, on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Lorne Johnson, age 59, was the beloved husband of Penny. Dear father of Michael, Jason (Tasha) and Trevor (Angela). Grandfather of Ashton, Nikki, Jessica, Jason Jr., Alex and Kirstyn. Dear son of Verna (Martin) and the late Robert Johnson, and survived by his brother Wayne Johnson.Lorne’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Essonville Historical Church (Essonville Line, Wilberforce) on Saturday, November 24, 2007 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has already taken place. A reception will follow at the Wilberforce Legion. “Please come as you are, and dressed as you are”. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society Transportation Program or to the Haliburton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
