At Quinte Health Care Belleville General Hospital, Belleville, on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Richard (Rick) Johns of Bancroft, was the loving son of Florence Johns. Loved father of Rob Johns and his wife Dawn, and Tim Johns and his wife Sam. Loving grandfather of Carson, Emmett, Finlay and Piper. Brother of Lyn Johns and his wife Valerie, sisters Jennifer, and Robin and her husband Wilf. Survived by his nephews Matthew, Chris, Ken and Sean, and his nieces Sarah, Emma and great-nieces and nephews. Richard was a retired OPP Constable, and a faithful member of Our Lady of Mercy Church Choir, Knights of Columbus, and Parish Family. Richard’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Church of Our Lady of Mercy (96 Bridge Street W, Bancroft) on Monday, January 25, 2016 between 2:30 and 3:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Our Lady of Mercy at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Patrick M. Dobec presiding. Cremation will follow at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Ontario Wildlife Rescue Foundation (www.ontariowildliferescue.ca) would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
