At Quinte Health Care Belleville General Hospital, Belleville, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Peter Salar, age 68, was the beloved husband of Sharon G.L. (Shannik) Salar. Loving father of Jeffrey Salar, Kimberly Eastman (Calan), Justin Salar (Holly), Jeremy Salar, Katrina Grant (Justin), and Klarisa Prentice (Andrew). Loved grandfather of Kyla, Summer, James, Finn and Jocelyn. Brother of Marg Parker (Merv), and brother-in-law of Kayla (Jim) Forbes. Survived by his nieces Gillian (Jeff), Meaghan (Rob), Paula (Vince) and Kelly (Ray). Grand nieces and nephews: Parker, Sullivan, Claire, Molly, Liam, Nora, Erica (Matt), Dustin (Meryn), Harper, Jessica (Aidrian), Holly (Jake), Arya, Christopher and Thomas. Peter’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle (311 Hastings St. N., Bancroft) on Friday 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Saturday, September 19, 2015, from 12 Noon – 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Steve Brethour officiating.
