Peacefully, at Extendicare Haliburton, on Sunday, July 05, 2015. Samuel Rivers, age 87 of Tory Hill, was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Peck) Rivers (2013). Loving father, of Susan Ellison (Larry), Virginia Rivers, and Tom Rivers, all of Tory Hill. Loved grandfather of Andy (Melissa), James, Elliotte (Amber), Tammy (Neil), Sandy (Joe) and David. Great-grandfather of Dakota, Violette, Jodi, Gloria, Phillip, Belle, Jonathan, David, Alisa, Michael and Steven. Brother and brother-in-law of Betty Davis, Joe Rivers (Gwen), Ernie Peck (Linda) and Mary Peck (Harold). Predeceased, by his brothers Gordon and John. Samuel’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Harcourt Community Chapel on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 Noon. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 Noon with Pastor Charles Hughes officiating. Cremation will take place at Lakefield Crematorium.
