Peacefully, at the Valley Manor, Barry's Bay, on Friday, January 16, 2015. Nellie Emmerson, age 96, formerly of Purdy, was the beloved wife of the late Harper Emmerson and the Late Albert Marquardt. Loving Mother and Mother in -law of Morley Marquette (Gloria) of Purdy, Joan Cannon (Fred Baker) of Barry's Bay, Rachel Brinklow (Bill) of Manitouwadge, and Rosalea Marquardt (James) of Purdy. Loved grandmother of John Marquette (Dawna), Greg Marquette, Beverley Cannon-Reilly, Carolyn Cannon, Nancy Aquire (Tony), Cheryl (Craig) Campbell, Krista Robinson (Brad), and Janette Marquardt. Great-Grandmother of 13. Survived by her brother Leonard, and sister Beatrice. Predeceased by her son James Marquardt, son-in-law Fred Baker, son -in-law Carl Cannon, granddaughter Cheryl Campbell, brothers Lawrence, Gordon, Wilbert and sisters Hertha and Rosie. Nellie's family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Wednesday 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home at 12 Noon with Pastor David Trafford officiating. Interment, St Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Combermere, Ontario, in the spring.
