Passed away peacefully, in his sleep, at his cottage in Maynooth, on Wednesday, July 02, 2014. George Martini, age 78 of Grimsby, was the beloved husband of Turid (Jensen) Martini. Loving father of Kim Horan (Rick) of Fonthill, and George A. Martini (Adriana) of Barrie. Loved grandfather of of Amy (Jayce) and Lisa (Kyle). Great-grandfather of Aiden and Ethan. Brother of Marie and the late Hans and Walter. George was retired from Union Gas Ltd. in Hamilton, after many years of service, and he enjoyed singing for the Barber Shop in Grimsby for many years. He will be sadly missed by many friends. At George’s request, his body was graciously donated to the Human Body Donor Program, School of Anatomy, Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences, Queen’s University, Kingston. A Celebration of George’s Life will take place at the Danish Lutheran Church, Grimsby at a later date.
