March 9, 1922 - March 2, 2014 Passed away peacefully, at Algoma Manor, Thessalon, ON, on Sunday, March 02, 2014. Lillian Burke, age 91, was the beloved wife of Cecil Burke of Thessalon, and predeceased by her loving husband Allen Tripp. Dearly loved mother of Stewart Tripp (Linda) and Marion Haner (Bill). Predeceased by her son Stephen Tripp (Kathy). Loving grandmother of Allen Haner (Pauline), Cathy Marshall (Charles), Cheryl Barton (Jeff), Mark Tripp (Landi), Stefan Tripp, Matthew Tripp, and Sarah Tripp (Bill). Great-grandmother of 10 and one great-great grandchild. Beloved sister of Eva, Elsie, Marjorie, Stanley, Spencer, Muriel, Ronald, Bobby and predeceased by 6 other siblings. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and special sister-in-law of Edna Haye. Lillian was well known in the town of Bancroft, was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and Bancroft Club 580 Seniors Club. Cecil and Lillian enjoyed their second home in Florida for the winter. Lillian’s family will receive relatives and friends at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (96 Bridge St. W., Bancroft) on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Patrick M. Dobec presiding. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Algoma Manor or Hospice North Hastings would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
