Passed peacefully with his family by his side at Madawaska Valley Hospice in Barry’s Bay on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Kathleen Layman. Loved father of Darlene (Tim), Douglas (Karin), Shawn (Wendy). Cherished grandfather of Clinton (Lorna Lea), Nathan (Brittany), Justin (Katie), Johnathan (Kaitlyn), Alanna (Jordan), Jocelynn (Tony) and Hadley (Riley). Great-grandfather of Layla, Myles, Hudson, Addison, Jack, Camdon, Brier, Finn, Eloise, Carter, Colby and Ella. Elroy loved the outdoors and the family will remember many camping trips. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care that Elroy received at the Madawaska Valley (Barry’s Bay) Hospital, Renfew Hospital and the wonderful staff at Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care in Barry’s Bay.
