At his home in Whitney, on Thursday, January 25, 2024.  Richard Sovie age 55, was the beloved spouse of Delila Campbell of Whitney.  Loving father of Dwayne Campbell, Gordon Sovie (Erica Wilcox), Charles Sovie, Roman Sovie, and the late Randy Lazier.  Loved grandfather of Jazmine, Elizabeth, and Aminah.  Son of Mayme Sovie, and his loving father the late Gordon Hyland. Predeceased by his sister Victoria Sovie.  Richard is fondly remembered by all his relatives and friends. Richard was a hard worker, he always was willing to lend a helping hand, and was always there for everyone.  He will be missed greatly.   Richard’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Saturday, February 03, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.  Visitation will also take place at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (41 Post Street, Whitney) lower level, on Sunday, February 04, 2024, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.  Cremation will follow with interment Emmanual Cemetery, Maple Leaf in the spring.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
