John Hector Robinson, born April 20, 1939, in Maynooth, Ontario, passed away at the age of 84, on January 11, 2024, in Peterborough, Ontario. He was the son of the late George David Robinson and Letitia Agnes (nee: Scott). John is survived by his loving wife, Glenna (nee: Luckasavitch), and his siblings: Charlie, Verna and Gerald. He was predeceased by his siblings Alice, Joan, Donald, and Delores. A devoted father, John leaves behind his three daughters: Debra (Ben Angevaare), Claudette (David Scott), and Michele (Paul Symes). He was a proud grandfather to Vanessa (Matthew Birarda), Justin (Mikayla Ross), and Chanel (Tom Nimmo). His joy was further multiplied by his six great-grandchildren: Ava, James, Riley, Skylar, Chloe, and Zoey. John will also be deeply missed by his extended family who held a special place in his heart. He will be remembered for his story telling, which always added a touch of humor and liveness to time spent together. John’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends. He was Senator John Hector Robinson. A private family service has been held. Interment will take place St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Cemetery in Maynooth on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11 a.m. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
