With great sadness, we say goodbye to Melody (Easton) Smith, who passed away unexpectedly at her father’s home in Paudash on Thursday December 7, 2023, at the age of 60. Beloved daughter of Herbert Easton and the late Betty (Creighton) Easton and the mother of Christopher Musclow. She will be fondly remembered by many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. She was born in Bancroft and spent the majority of her life in the Bancroft area. Melody had a very compassionate heart towards those in need and animals, especially her 3 cats and 1 dog who will miss her greatly. In keeping with Melody’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. She will be laid to rest beside her mother in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Bancroft at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Home Again – homeagainbancroft.ca, Highland Animal Relief Team (H.A.R.T.) or an animal rescue organization of choice would be appreciated by the family.
