Dillon, James Francis

August 29, 1950 – September 1, 2020  On Tuesday September 01, 2020,  James passed away peacefully at home.  He is survived by his wife Katherine (Hass) Dillon,  his children Jeremy Dillon (Vicki), Roxane Rudolph (Doug), Quentin Dillon (Rhonda), Rachel Reid (Stephen), his 8 grandchildren Stephanie, Zack, Merisa, Kaylee, Courtney, Colin, Savannah, Reise and 1 great-grandchild Braelyn.  He also is survived by his sister Eva Keller (Glen) and predeceased by his son Clifford Dillon, sister Maude Keller, his brother Donny Dillon and his Brothers-in- law Glen Keller, Richard Keller and Alvin Hass.  He has many brothers and sisters in law,  Eddie Hass (Brenda), Coreen Whyte (David), Rodney Hass (Janet), Patsy Keller (Richard), Barry Hass, Janet Gravel (Yves), Derrich Hass, Lawanda Keller (Bobby), Abigail LeClerc (Kelly).  He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.  James was the first-born son of late Harold and Delores Dillon (Vandusen).  James was an avid hunter who loved hunting with his sons Jeremy and Quentin.  He loved to collect guns and would strike up a conversation about hunting or his guns with ever one.   He loved to show off his collection.  He loved to play baseball.  For many years he worked in sawmills and ended his career driving transport as an owner/operator of Poor Boy Transport in 2002.  He was described as a person who helped others, and he could never pass by someone broken down on the side of the road, without offering help. James’ family will receive relatives and friends at The Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle (311 Hastings St., N, Bancroft) on Friday, September 04, 2020 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.   A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Randy Liedtke officiating.  Cremation will follow.  Due to COVID-19, strict visitation and service restrictions will be in place.   As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
